Deep Field needs no introduction, he won his first 5 races (including a track record), he won a Group 2 at Flemington on Derby Day and was Group 1 placed.

According to John Hawkes (his trainer), horses can not run any quicker than Deep Field and John rates it in the same league as another horse who he trained called Chautauqua.

Deep Field yearlings have sold incredibly well at an average of $170k at this Magic Million sale. Keeping in line with RTD mantra of buying "value", Lot 1087 is 30% cheaper than the average price paid for a Deep Field yearling at this sale.

The colt is a son of Shiraz Attack , who was a four time city winner and hails from the family of the G2 Emancipation S. winner Faith Hill (Danehill {USA}) and the Listed Lord S. winner and Group 1 dual placegetter So Si Bon (So You Think)

John Foote said at the sale " Deep Field is going well and trainers have told us they rate them quite highly so I was happy to get one for Darren.”
