In conjunction with John Foote Bloodstock, Roll the Dice Racing have secured another son of Iffraaj. This purchase was an unusual one as the colt sustained a cut and was withdrawn from the NZB Ready to Run Sales in November as lot 233. John Foote worked with NZB Managing Director Andrew Seabrook who brokered a deal with Hanui Stud to secure the colt during the sale.
The colt has been spelling in New Zealand and his cut has recovered nicely. The colt will head back to Melbourne in the next fortnight and continue his racing career under the Roll the Dice Racing colours with trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr who train the teams other Iffraaj, Ayrton who was super impressive at Caulfiled recently.
This colt breezed up very impressively in a time of 10.84 but it was the way in which he did it that excited both John and the RTD team, he has the Iffraaj trademark long stride and he is a great size for a first foal. He is out of a winning Savabeel mare who is a daughter of the Group 1 winning mare Calveen. With a lovely pedigree and a looks to match this colt certainly won’t last long and the RTD team can’t thank John Foote and NZB for brokering the deal and getting this guy for only $110,000.
