Scottish Dancer returned to form at Bendigo on Saturday with a dominant win in the BM70 1600m. The enigmatic galloper has had some injury issues during his time but it was very pleasing to see him get back in the winners stall. From the gate jockey Jack Hill allowed Scottish Dancer to find his feet and he settled midfield with cover. Coming to the 500m the instructions were very clear to get stuck into him, and didn’t he respond by circling the field shortly after straightening and clearing away to win easily.

The lightly raced gelding has come through the race really well and will be aimed at either Saturday class South Australia races in 2 weeks or Caulfield in 3 weeks. Trainer Andrew Bobbin has done an amazing job in getting the horse right and we will leave it to him to decide on which rein to pull. Either way we go, let’s hope the patience of the owners pays off and he can stay sound and reward his owners.
