While he jumped away well from the wide barrier, jockey Zac Spain allowed him to settle midfield while being three wide with cover. Coming to the 500m he began to make his move and was nearly skittled rounding the bend and lost all momentum. To the horses credit he picked himself up off the canvas and unleashed with a blistering turn of foot to win by 1.75 lengths. It was a very encouraging debut by the son of Dream Ahead and we will now let master trainer Mick Price plot a spring program for the big striding gelding.
RTD would like to thank bloodstock agent, Jeremy Rogers for finding this guy at the Magic Millions Ready to Run Sales on the Gold Coast last year and of course, congratulations must also go to his owners, many of whom are first timers along with some of our most loyal owners… exciting times ahead!
