Its hasn’t been a conventional preparation for Rhapsody Chic who came back to the races in March and ran well for a couple of seconds and a third but couldn’t find wet tracks due to the dry ending to Autumn.

The team gave him a month off waiting for the weather to break and it has made all the difference having strung two wins in a row both on rain affected ground. It was a great win by the 4YO son of Sacred Falls. From barrier 1, jockey, Blake Shinn had him in a great spot and coming to the turn he idled up and sprinted very nicely through the soft conditions to win comfortably by a length.

Sam Freedman commented that the gelding is building a nice profile now and getting a nice return for his owners. We will now step him up to Saturday grade and of course we will continue to look for some wet tracks he will be very competitive again.
