Our final purchase for Magic Millions 2025 is an athletic colt by freshman sire Profiteer, who we raced.
“This is the best Profiteer colt I have seen and he will be sure to go early, just like his dad”, said Jeremy Rogers, our bloodstock agent. Jeremy should know, he selected Profiteer at the Inglis Classic Sale in 2020. This colt has size, substance and presence and we just had to have him!
Profiteer is the fastest son of Capitalist and won the Inglis Millennium in a romp on the way to a successful autumn that saw him pipped by Anamoe in the Gr2 Todman Stakes and unfortunately tiring in a Golden Slipper that was run a week late due to weather.
His first progeny are at the yearling sales now and we have been keeping a close eye on them for the last 12 months.
The colt’s dam Megawatt by Melbourne Cup winner Shocking, won 3 races and was Group 3 placed. She has had two siblings to race for a winner and a placegetter and this colt looks like he will add to the winners tally.
He will get every chance to make it as he heads to the Anthony and Sam Freedman stables to start his education.
