Red Rowie

This colt was purchased by our very own Jeremy Rogers at Magic Millions Tasmania Sale in February and we couldn’t be happier to present him to our owners and subscribers. Originally purchased to stay and race in Tassie with a large ownership group that unfortunately didn’t eventuate, the colt has now found his way back to Victoria and we are delighted to be syndicating him here with Mitch Freedman.

The colt was a bargain at $28,000 in the sale and he is by the exciting young stallion Alpine Eagle. We have purchased three Alpine Eagle’s including two last year and both are showing good ability. Alpine Eagle was a very good racehorse winning the Group 2 Autumn Stakes and was only narrowly beaten in the Group 1 Australian Guineas by Wandjina. He is now into his third season at Armidale Stud and has already thrown 27 winners with 3 of those stakes performers and we think they will make very for very tough racehorses.

The colt’s dam Can’t Fight Love is a half sister to two stakes winners in A Lotta Love and Lord da Vinci with both horses winning multiple races. Cant Fight Love is by Fighting Sun and only started once before injury curtailed her racetrack career. This colt is the dam’s first foal and he is a lovely colt that has really developed into a strong 2YO.

The colt has been educated and has started pre training in our system at Leneva Park for the last two weeks. Ballarat trainer, Mitch Freedman will put the polish on this colt and we are sure he isn’t going to last long.
