It was a great day for the RTD team as two of our stakes winning mares were retired last week and this week went through the Magic Millions broodmare sales. Considering the current COVID-19 restrictions the Magic Millions team did a great job in ensuring the sale went ahead and while it was slightly down we were very happy to sell both of our mares for great prices.
Above: Twitchy Frank went through the ring for the final time, selling to Vinery Stud where she will have the best of everything, including quality stallion visits each year.
Twitchy Frank was the first to go through the ring of our two mares as lot 91 and she was knocked down for $210,000 to Vinery Stud. It was a great result for the daughter of Choisir and she will now head to the famous Hunter Valley to live out her days as a broodmare to the likes of More Than Ready, All Too Hard, Headwater and Press Statement to name a few.
Above: Anjana going through the ring for the last time. She was sold to Lentini Bloodstock Pty Ltd and will spend her days at the lovely Rosemont Stud in Victoria with an impressive stallion roster.
Anjana went through the ring a little later as lot 113 and bidding was solid but she just failed to meet the reserve. After a short negotiation with the highest bidder, she was finally sold for $190,000 to Lentini Bloodstock Pty Ltd and she will live out her days at the beautiful Rosemont stud in Ceres in Geelong. She will be introduced to Starspangledbanner and Shamus Award in her first couple of years as a broodmare.
