What a win by Hughesy on Wednesday and didn’t the 7kg weight pull and addition of blinkers do the trick. All of the above coupled with a peach of a ride by RTD’s LeBeau Mertens! He loves wearing the dice colors and he powered away to win nicely. Its been a while since the 4YO son of Russian Revolution had won a race, over 300 days in fact, but we hadn’t lost faith in him and the firmer surface, run of the race and the lighter weight all aided a strong srpint from our bloke and he was too strong. There are a couple of races in Adelaide in the coming weeks that we will target next.
