On Friday Pinot Party went to Kyneton and looked a good chance in a BM58 over 1450m from a good gate with veteran jockey Craig Newitt taking the ride. The race panned out exactly how we envisioned with Craig settling in a great position behind the leaders. The tempo was strong and he travelled into the race beautifully and looked the winner a long way out. While he got tired late Craig mentioned that he was always going to be the winner and he didn’t quite handle the soft ground. All in all it was a great win and he will now have a well earned break and come back for some 3YO races in the autumn.

On Saturday we had Andrea Mantegna win again in Adelaide for trainer David Jolly and jockey Todd Pannell. Todd is building a great relationship with old Magna and again on the Morphettville Parks track he was too hard to get past. Todd rode him beautifully and rated Magna perfectly throughout the race and when the second horse came at him the old boy kicked again and was never threatened. He will now head to The Valley in a couple of weeks for a BM90 over 2040m.

Congrats to all our owners!
